Following the cleaning process great care must be taken to ensure that flexible endoscopes are thoroughly dry
before being used as the presence of any residual water poses the very real risk
of micro-organism development within the scope.
The Hydrocheck-E is a simple to use, frictionless, pre-prepared swab test for checking to ensure
that flexible endoscope channels are truly dry.
The test is conducted by passing the highly absorbent cotton swab through the channel
and then placing the swab into the Hydrocheck-E test vial.
The presence of the smallest amount of moisture on the swab will produce a purple dot on the swab surface
and if large amounts of moisture are detected the entire vial solution can change colour.
With a detection limit as low as 0.05 μl & producing immediate test results, the Hydrocheck-E provides confidence
in your flexible endoscope re-processing regime.
